Pilgrimage to Monte Berico

Millions of pilgrims come to the Basilica of Monte Berico every year. The Basilica, situated on the hill protecting the city of Vicenza, becomes the destination of those who want to retrace Mary’s path.
To reach it one must “climb”, because the spiritual path is an ascesis towards God. The mountain can be reached by two routes: the ancient medieval Scalette (small stairs), which have been restored several times, from the Stone Arch of 1595, reaching halfway up the hill; and the 18th-century Portici (arcades) road, divided into 150 arches, interrupted every ten by a shelf. Once the Basilica is reached, a visit and the celebration of Holy Mass are planned.
A pilgrimage to Monte Berico is a true spiritual experience!
